A relaxed space to wander, pause and enjoy West Dorset at a gentler pace.

Statue in rose garden

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. The Garden at Pilsdon was created from a desire to share the beauty, tranquillity and changing seasons of this special part of West Dorset.

Set beneath the dramatic backdrop of Pilsdon Pen and just inland from the Jurassic Coast, the 2.5 acres of gardens have evolved naturally over time as a relaxed and informal space designed to feel connected to the surrounding countryside.

Pond

Relax beside the pond, where reflections, planting and the gentle movement of water create one of the garden’s quieter corners. Spot the goldfish beneath the surface whilst you pause and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the garden

Rather than formal planting or rigid structure, the gardens are intended to encourage visitors to slow down, wander freely and enjoy nature at their own pace. Seasonal flowers, open views and quieter corners sit alongside the wider landscape, creating a space that changes continually throughout the year.
